Nido Living Triumphs at the Global Student Accommodation Awards

We are thrilled to announce that Nido Living took home three of the most coveted awards at the Global Student Accommodation (GSL) Awards last week.

What makes the GSL Awards so unique and prestigious in our industry is that they aren’t the result of a standard submission or judging process. Instead, the awards are entirely based on direct feedback from tens of thousands of students worldwide, offering a genuine reflection of student satisfaction.

At Nido Living, we were honored to be recognized for Best Customer Service – Europe, Best Student Wellbeing – Europe, and Best Private Housing – Europe. By seamlessly integrating student-focused services with high-quality accommodation, we not only deliver strong returns but also cultivate vibrant communities, ensuring an exceptional experience for every student.

Wellbeing has always been a priority for us, and we’ve been pioneering in this space for several years. We’ve partnered with professional psychologist Dr. Tara Quinn in an industry-first collaboration to create a global wellbeing hub and offer virtual counseling sessions for our students. On top of this, we’ve developed our own accommodation design guidelines, which are specifically centered around student wellbeing.

In terms of student experience, we’ve been proactive in gathering feedback across our 5,000-bed portfolio. We use twice-yearly surveys, external reviews, third-party research, and live monitoring from our on-the-ground teams, available 24/7. All of this data informs our strategies, guiding both the development of new assets and the continuous improvement of existing ones.

The 2024 Global Student Living Awards [https://gslglobal.com/awards] are based exclusively on direct feedback from over 150,000 students at universities and colleges across the UK and Europe. With no written nominations and no ‘expert’ judges, the Global Student Living Awards are uniquely credible and highly prized.

Data for the awards are collected through the Global Student Living Index [https://gslglobal.com/index]
